Executive Director / Founder (1979)
Ms. Lockett is an Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. Trained at The Royal Ballet School, Royal Academy of Dance (London, England), The School of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and the Canadian College of Dance (Ryerson) as well as scholarships to the Banff Centre for the Arts and the School of American Ballet (New York).
Ms. Lockett performed professionally with Dance Dimensions, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Ballet Ys before founding OSB in 1979. Ms. Lockett also founded Ontario Ballet Theatre, a professional touring company, and was Executive Director for over 30 year. Ms. Lockett and her companies have been awarded the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Artistic Excellence and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Award.
Tara is a graduate of the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies Program and is now a Registered Teacher and Mentor with the Royal Academy of Dance. She is also a graduate of the George Brown Dance Performance Studies Program, receiving the Dean’s Award and the Professional Development Certificate upon graduation. Tara has had to opportunity to work with prestigious Canadian companies and choreographers. Tara teaches all Graded and Vocational levels of the Royal Academy of Dance and in 2014, two of her students were awarded their Solo Seal. Tara has received high accolades for her competitive choreography and she has been acknowledged with many overall and special awards. Tara is a member of the Program Advisory Committee for the Centennial College Dance – Performance Program launching in September 2015.
Director, Trillium Dance Company
Shannon trained under the RAD and ADAPT Syllabi. She was a competitive team dancer at Can-Dance, American Dance Awards and Footloose Internationals in Chicago in 2001 and in Las Vegas in 2002. Shannon has been teaching and choreographing ADAPT Jazz and Tap syllabus and her students have continually excelled in their examinations. Shannon is an ADAPT certified teacher from Pre-Junior-Advanced levels. Shannon is a full member of ACTRA and continues to work as a professional performer.

Stefanie is a graduate of the Regional Arts Program at Mayfield Secondary School and is in the Concurrent Education Program for Teachers at University of Toronto. Stefanie trained in gymnastics for 8 years and was a competitive dancer for 10 years at Performing Dance Arts. She is also a graduate of the ADAPT Teacher Training School and is qualified to teach in Jazz, Tap, Acro, Lyrical and Ballet. Stefanie won the regional title for her Acro solo and has received the Highest Academic Award in Dance for 2007 and 2008 at Mayfield. She specializes in Acrobatics and is looking forward to teaching Acro and competitive choreography at Ontario School of Ballet again this year.
- Pre-School, Ballet (2015)
A native of Owen Sound, Sarah Mills graduated with the Certificate of Achievement from George Brown’s Dance Performance Studies Program under the direction of Ballet Jorgen Canada. She was a member of the George Brown Dance Ensemble, which toured around the GTA, as well as its Rehearsal Assistant in her graduating year. Sarah attended Arts Umbrella Summer Dance Intensive in Vancouver, BC for two consecutive years training with teachers such as Marc Bovin, Lesley Telford, Artemis Gordon and Glen Gilmour.
Sarah has danced professionally with multiple Toronto companies since 2009 and is a Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies student with the Royal Academy of Dance. Most recently Sarah was a mentor-ship student studying under Tara Roberts of Ontario School of Ballet.
Jami Lynne Harper
- Jazz & Tap (2011)
Jami Lynne is currently a Toronto-based choreographer, instructor and performer who shares her passion for dance and the performing arts all across Canada. She has studied numerous styles of dance including Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, HipHop, Acro, Musical Theatre and Cabaret. Jami Lynne is a certified Jazz & Tap teacher with the A.D.A.P.T Syllabi for all Pre-Jr to Advanced levels and has successfully entered students in A.D.A.P.T examinations. She is currently working towards the Acrobatique certification for Jr, Inter and Adv Acro levels. Jami Lynne has studied Personal Training under CanFit Pro and applies her extensive knowledge of fitness and health to her dance training. She has appeared in several music videos, print ads/campaigns, television shows, commercials, live stage and theatre shows in addition to working behind the camera in the creative process as a choreographer. She also has experience with film and commercial casting as well as with production assisting and coordinating. Over the years Jami Lynne has developed a strong passion for teaching and educating students of all ages and levels continues to inspire, create, and challenge.

Olivia Herman trained in the RAD and CDTA syllabi in British Columbia. She moved to Toronto to further her dance education at Ryerson University. Olivia has graduated on the Dean’s List from the Bachelor of Fine Arts program with a Major in Dance. Olivia has had the privilege of performing the duet “Still” choreographed by Robert Glumbek, as well as working with many prestigious teachers and choreographers. Olivia recently completed her ADAPT teaching certification and continues to teach and choreograph.

Katie has been training in various forms of dance including hip hop, jazz, tap, ballet, modern, lyrical, contemporary, flamenco and musical theatre for over twenty years. After graduating with her BFA Honors from York University, and completing her ADAPT certification as well as three years of intense training at George Brown College where she completed her studio diploma and performance certification, her focus turned to training healthy, strong and well balanced dancers. Throughout her career and education, Katie has competed all over North America and performed in Spain with Euro international. Throughout her professional career she has trained with various world renowned teachers, choreographers and dance professionals.
Katie is always striving to improve her technique, choreography and teaching skills through class and workshops. She has taught many dancers for competition and has won many various awards. She has taught at several studios and schools throughout the Toronto area. Katie has many years experience teaching in the education system and feels that the arts and dance should play an important role in every child’s life. Her love of dance has taken her to amazing places where she has met wonderful people who have inspired her and opened her eyes to the endless possibilities that dance can bring.
Always passionately interested in how movement spurs our thinking and learning Ms Cabri trained in Brain-Compatible Dance Education with Anne Gilbert in Seattle. One of the few qualified teachers of this remarkable technique in Canada Ms Cabri now lives in Toronto. For the academic year 2014/15 Ms Cabri was Head of Junior Professional Ballet Division at the School of Alberta Ballet in Calgary, and in 2015 received a Canada Council Grant for teacher training at School of Paris Opera, in France. She currently teaches extensively for the National Ballet of Canada’s YOUdance program as well as guest at Ballet Jorgen, George Brown College and schools in Ontario.
Ms Cabri teaches ballet and contemporary dance at any level from the beginner to the professional. The versatility of Ms Cabri’s scope has allowed her to also choreograph for the non-trained community in a variety of settings to all ages and abilities.
In September 2016 Ms Cabri is delighted to begin teaching in a variety of programs at the Ontario School of Ballet with its wonderful staff and director.

Barbara holds Registered Teacher status with the Royal Academy of Dance and has been preparing and entering students for exams from PPID to Solo Seal for over 35 years with much success. Barbara has won many choreographic awards in South Africa, Canada and the USA and many of her students are either teaching or dancing professionally around the world.
Prior to arriving in Canada, she owned and directed her own ballet school in South Africa, was Vice President of the National Society of Dance Teachers Southern Africa and was on their board of examiners and adjudicators.
Barbara is a tutor and supervisor for the RAD CBTS program and teaches part time at Canada’s National Ballet School in the Teacher Training Program.
Barbara has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from The University of the Witwatersrand and a post-graduate Diploma in Pre-School Education from the University of South Africa
Barbara’s passion for dance and her understanding, inspires her students to reach their own standard of excellence, while gaining confidence and an appreciation for the art of dance.
